When you watch a football game, you'll notice that at the end of the 3rd Quarter, the players will lift their hands with four fingers raised to remind one another that they are ready to enter the 4th Quarter of the game. It's meant to encourage one another that though the game is long and fatigue has surely set in; even if things aren't going as they might have hoped; the game isn't over yet.
No football game is won or lost after just three quarters. Maybe you've never been in a locker room or on a football field, but as faithful Christians we are in a contest - a battle for the souls of mankind. Our goal as the Church is to take the love and Gospel of Jesus Christ to a world that badly needs it. Having a game plan will help us do that - that's what 4th Quarter is all about. No matter who you are; no matter what you've already accomplished for the Kingdom of God; our service as Believers isn't over yet.
We want to work diligently to discover believers who are excited about entering their 4th Quarter of life and who believe they can have a continuing impact for the Kingdom. (Psalm 78:18)
We want to lead those who identify with the 4th Quarter mindset to further deepen their commitment to the Church and its mission to reach the world with the Gospel by encouraging them to develop a Legacy game plan and Finish Strong for Christ. (2 Timothy 4:7)
We hope to challenge each follower of Christ to use the ministry gift the Spirit has provided to finish the work for which each one has been called. (1 Peter 4:10)
